Ever wondered which wood to use in your wood burning or multi fuel stove? You may not know it but we have a pretty comprehensive list of woods to burn in our firewood guide.
Our A-Y of woods from Alder to Yew ( we’re not aware of a wood beginning with Z yet) will guide you through the ease of chopping and typical burn characteristics of each type of fire wood. So next time you are getting some logs to burn on your wood burning / multi fuel stove or for your fire, take a few seconds to check which kind of wood you are getting – all woods are not created equal (especially for burning).

Our next door has some woodland and we get all our wood from him. He delivers us ash and we use pine as kindling to get the fire going. We were told that ash does not corrode the chimney or flue liner as badly as some wood.
